Crazy Jim said that at least 3 of the players commented on how much they liked them and would like to use them throughout the playoffs. And maybe, just maybe, we'll be seeing A LOT more of them in the future. Also, they MAY be available in another auction. Not completely sure. Just what I've heard.
Jim did a good job on those, didn't he??

I'm surprised it took that freakin' long. I couldn't tell from the pics on the aeros.com site, but did they also improve the lettering/numbers? None of my business really all the way up in MN, but I thought those new jerseys were just flat out ugly. To be honest, I think new logo could have worked (although the old one is significantly better) ; the rest of the design and the lettering (good lord, the lettering... ) was just plain bad if you ask me. |

Sure do but I'm in Dallas still.
It'll have to wait til I get home to get good ones. I'll try to get one up tonight but I don't have my photo editing software with me and prob no FTP program but I'll work on getting something up that will give you an idea of the jersey. |

I'm sorry but those are horrible! I liked the original bomber jerseys but the logo isnt enough to save that. I sure as hell hope they dont were those in the playoffs. |

If they become the new jersey they'll match the pants.
I thought they were great. I love the blue and silver.

Hell, I don't care if the damn things are purple and orange with a big-ass Charlie Brown zig-zag stripe on 'em. Seeing the old bomber back (even if it's only for a little while) is a good thing. You should be happy to see it AT ALL.

In the past, on a thread that discussed the dropping of the bomber logo (pun intended), I basically took the position that it was no big deal. In fact, I recall that I actually commented that I thought the old uniforms were too cartoonish for my taste.
So, being my contrary self, I want to point out a few items that seem to have slipped between the cracks with this new found love affair some have for Aeros MSE management.
First, they seem to have bastardized the old logo and uniforms. Meaning, as far as I can see, the new uniforms lacks any royal blue. The blue seems to be replaced with black. Second, the cartoonish piping (retro-1940’s) is totally missing. It has been replaced with some very haphazardly plain-Jane black and grey stripes. And third, the shoulder chevron (or whatever that stars-n-bars Airforce thingy was) is totally missing.
Yes, the logo is back. And if I thought the old pre-MSE Aeros jerseys were bad, these jerseys are even worse.
I thought that the old logo and uniforms got two things right. First, the old logo honored the WWII era veterans. And it was a cool looking theme. Second, in a weird way, the blue, green, and grey sorta worked excepting the piping and the shoulder emblem.
If you are going to bastardize the old, at least improve it. And in my opinion, there was plenty of room for improvement. But this falls way short.
So give the Aeros management credit if you must. But I think they deserve very little applause for a thrown together ploy to pull a few more dollars from your pockets.
Thanks but no thanks….
